A dive watch must meet ISO 6425 standards, which include water resistance of at least 150 meters, a unidirectional rotating bezel to track dive time, and clear legibility in low-light conditions. It should also be resistant to magnetic fields, shocks, and corrosion from seawater. There are also requirements for spring bar retention force, over/under pressure and thermal shock.
