All Marathon watches that have tritium use T25 tubes. These tubes use an isotope of Hydrogen, called Tritium, that is slighly radioactive and emits small packets of energy. This energy collides with a phosphorescent coating on the inside of the tube and gives visible light. Marathon watches remain visible in low light without the need for charging.
