It would look way to small on an 8.5" wrist in all honesty.
Would this look alright on an 8.5" wrist? Also, what would be a good replacement band with the same style? Islander Astoria Automatic Dress Watch with Pale Blue Dial #ISL-263
I know I would have to replace the band as per the other answers, it doesn't appear it would fit my wrist, but I do like the styling of the band. I would also like to know if the watch itself would look dwarfed on my wrist. I'm still new to watches, I'm sorry if I'm missing correct terminology.
